Mr and Mrs William Sutton of Jefferson announce the engagement of their son, Dr Zachary William Sutton, to Miss Megan Leigh Dean of Augusta, Georgia. Megan is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Jeffrey Dean.
Megan is a 2004 graduate of Westside High School in Augusta and attended Georgia College and State University. In 2009, she received a degree in nursing from Augusta State University. She is employed by the Children’s Hospital of Georgia at Augusta University as a registered nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit.
Zachary is a 2002 graduate of Jefferson-Scranton High School and a 2006 graduate of Simpson College with a bachelor of arts in biology. He received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree in 2011 from Des Moines University. He completed his emergency medicine residency in 2014 at The Medical College of Georgia and is currently employed as an emergency medicine physician at UnityPoint Health in Des Moines.
The couple plans to be married Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Augusta.
